Songkran Festival 2008

Songkran is an auspicious Thai Traditional New Year or also known as the "Water Festival". It is normally held on 13 April annually. People believe that water will wash away bad luck. The Songkran Tradition is recognized as a valuable custom for the Thai community, society and religions .

The Nusa Playa Hotel & Spa celebrated this festival by arranging the Buddha Image at the hotel lobby for performing a bathing rite. Furthermore, pouring water on the management?s palm ceremony was organized as well. On 19 April is known as ?Wan Lai? (Flowing Day) of Pattaya. Varity of food corner were set in front of the hotel. Everybody including the hotel staff, the guests and customers experienced the enjoyment and amusement of this festival by throwing water on each other along the Jomtien Beach.
